For its 26th edition, next 19 May, the Balélec festival goes back to the style of the day and offers to its public many innovations to be discovered. In the foreground this year, the sensitizing of festival with the durable development, concept in the center of the current projects.
In this intention, Balélec, supported by the town of Lausanne, sets up this year a pilot project of reusable goblets. The latter will be consigned and could be re-used what will avoid the wasting and pollution that the 80’ 000 goblets thrown at the time of this evening caused.
A concept of covoiturage will be also set up always with a view to sensitizing. The festival ones will be able to be registered on the Web site and to be thus organized to go to the festival. This project will unchoke the carparks on the site of FPSL, at the same time as it decreases pollution, makes profitable the voyage and helps with the prevention against alcohol at the wheel. Well of other reorganizations are with the editor 2006, in particular the reorganized site, but as the new concept of festival of musical discoveries as Balélec raises this year. It is thus on refreshed and re-elected scenes that the public will be able to profit of more than 30 concerts of all horizons. Another innovation in date, for the comfort of festival, public transport (zones mobilis 11 and 12) will be offered starting from 19h, including the M1 subway will circulate all the night.

Programming: With the poster this year, groups of all horizons, coming each one to bring their note of style to the entry of Balélec in a second quarter century full with experiments and great musical moments to live.

Asian Dub Foundation (électro) UK
Band clearly committed, humanistic, antiracist and anti-capitalist, ADF proposes a music rich and subtle composed of hybridizations between electro, dub, jungle, sonorities Eastern and rock’n’roll, that is to say a rather original cocktail.

Tahiti 80 (pop-rock) FR
Mix pop, rock’n’roll psychedelic and of groove, the music of Tahiti 80 carries it a key of pop nostalgia English of the Sixties. A festive concert and sectional view in prospect.

Watcha (métal) FR
hese five Parisian is affirmed in a hybrid musical style which draw its force in the mixture of varied musics, nourished metal with the sharp-edged riffs and of groove mutant.

The bliss (rock) CH
Melody with the dissonance, romanticism with roughnesses, some share between Jeff Buckley, Police and Van Halen, the bliss was plait better on a waste ground that virgin. With the image of a life of extremes, nourished with simple and unstable or the Iranian origins of its singer-guitarist. A powerful and malicious trio, which charms and which breathes.

Those which often stick labels to the groups are likely to be diverted in good! A group of show rock’n’roll which ensures and which is assumed, it is Vegastar, plusprès stars and already among us.

Hillside (pop-rock) CH
