With 6 concerts envisaged in Guédiawaye and Dakar, 1 carnival, and Workshops of musical creations, the Festival Suburbs Rate/rhythm will célèbrera its 6th edition of April 30 at May 7, 2006 in Guediawaye in Senegal.

Artists come from the Islands of the Green Cape, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, the Benign one, of Guinea Conakry, DRC, of France and Senegal, will be with return to offer themselves to us moments of exceptional music and dance.

Since its creation, 6 years ago, Banlieue Rate/rhythm pursues its goal to create in Guédiawaye an intercultural space of artistic meetings and expression. Engaged for the promotion of young artists, and for the sociocultural blooming of the populations, it causes a Community example of development today where the culture constitutes a fundamental lever.

The Festival Banlieue Rythme offers to the town of Guédiawaye the occasion to leave the batch of the cities dormitories. Genuine intercultural crucible where cross and côtoient the artists and the cultures, the town of Guédiawaye became a laboratory where the creative geniuses meet, exchange, and where the desire to open with other ended up making jump the barriers.
