2008 Juno Awards are over with 32 happy winners. Thirty-two Juno statuettes were given out earlier this evening to some of Canada’s brightest stars of the music industry during the 2008 Juno Gala Dinner & Awards held at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre (Canada). The gala event was attended by more than 1,300 music industry guests and nominees.
Feist has taken the world by storm and now taken home the most hardware at this weekend’s Juno Awards. Feist pulled off a hat-trick tonight in
her hometown winning three awards presented on CTV’s broadcast of The 2008 Juno Awards: Single of the Year, Album of the Year (sponsored by CRIA) and Pop Album
of the Year for the critically and commercially successful The Reminder. Feist also won
two Juno Awards for Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at last night’s
Juno Gala Dinner & Awards, making it a clean sweep in all five categories in which she
was nominated. Feist’s five Juno Awards tops off an incredible year for the artist, who
garnered four Grammy Award nominations, released a chart-topping album and
delivered one of the most downloaded songs and videos of the year with “1234.”
