Launched on Monday 12 December at the CCOG, with a selection committee made up of people from five countries, the "song party" where the CF Belgium, Niger and Haiti competed was full of discoveries. With a soft and melodious voice, Stéphanie Blanchet of the CF Belgium took us into her world full of roses and love, with her soft, touching and even teasing lyrics. Her performance was warmly welcome.
After a short break, the Haitian group Chenassar (Protected from God) who was very expected, performed a show souding like The Poetic Lovers and where the principal topics were love, peace, and morals.
The highlight of this show was undoubtedly the Niger band Sogha. On a traditional rhythm, the 3 singers made everybody stand up and dance with their songs in Haussa, Zarma, Foulfouldish and French languages. The song on the desert of Ténéré was the audience’s favourite one. Sogha left the stage under the audience’s ovation.
« This spectacle allowed me to forget my problems and made me feel happy, what a beautiful show! » says someone. Everything was said.
