The Francophonic Festival is an enormous event which offers an original program that reaches huge diversity of people. Francophonic has for purpose to insert itself into the Polish cultural calendar as an unavoidable yearly meeting, and wishes to increase in weight in the following years.
The festival, which takes place all over Poland during two weeks, offers a series of 14 concerts with 7 different artists of various genres: pop, electro, world music etc. It is destined to be definitely eclectic and modern.
To escort the event, a double CD album containing nothing but new tracks of the new generation of French musicians, will be released the 12th of March 2007. There will be a disc launch night at the Café Kulturalna the 20th of March in Warsaw!
The most important nonetheless remains the gigs: from the 15th to the 24th of March, the hypest French artists will be performing in clubs and concert halls all around. Indeed, Emilie Simon, Yann Tiersen, Scratch Massive, Marie Warnant, Louis Feuillade, and uprising world musicians Mamani Keïta and Aïwa will print the Polish soil, hoping to come back for a second round any time soon! |
