The French-Quebecois Youth organization, OFQJ, put together a 5 gig tour for new coming artists in Quebec from June 7-16. The tour will stop at the Festival de Tadoussac and the Francofolies de Montreal and at the famous venue Théâtre Petit Champlain in Quebec city. With the support of the French Music Export Office, Ben Ricour (Warner France) and Cyrz (Pias France) will tour for the first time in Quebec while Emily Loizeau (Fargo) will go back to Canada with a new show. Nicolas Jules is also going back to Quebec after winning the Felix-Leclerc prize last year.
OFQJ’s promotion of French developing artists in Quebec is a mission that the organization plans on developing in the future. Their goal is to give the opportunity to new talents to reach new audience and new markets in French-Speaking America while enabling the networking between French and Quebecois professionals. Future summer tours will take place in the coming years, so keep an eye open on the French new comers! |
