The twelfth edition of the Womex world music festival & trade fair is packed with a great selection of French artists.
From the 24th through the 28th of October over 2,800 professionals from the music world will be united at Womex, the world fair that is absolutely essential for any professional involved in world music. Of the talented artists representing France, Womex delegates will have an opportunity to see: Mamani Keïta & Nicolas Repac (No Format!), Mayra Andrade (Sony BMG France), Toumast (Village Vert), and Lo Còr de la Plana (Buda Musique).
Taking place for the third time in Seville, Spain, the Womex offers concerts, conferences and meeting places for participants from the four corners of the world. There will be a particularly strong French presence at the Womex this year. Nearly 150 companies will be sending representatives in order to introduce their artists, discover new talent and meet future business partners.
Four the fourth consecutive year, UBIFRANCE has organized a French pavilion (Booth F10/G10/F11/G11), in partnership with the French Music Export Office, so all French companies will be able to effectively circulate their RV’s. In addition, scores of other companies will have their own booths where they will be able to host clients (current and prospective).
Attesting to the huge presence of French artists, of the 40 acts at the festival, 8 are produced in France. Qawwali-Flamenco, Toumast, Badila, Mamani Keïta & Nicolas Repac, Mayra Andrade, Caravan Palace and Lo Còr de la Plana will perform for the Spanish and foreign public consisting of 800 concert and festival programmers. |
