March 20th, 2005 will take place the fifth edition of the International Day of the Francophonie.
This festival celebrates during all the month the French language through many events organized in all the French-speaking countries.
Let’s gather to celebrate the francophone presence in Louisiana and around the world from March 16th to March 20th
International Day of Francophonie - March 20th, 2005
Wed. March 16 - 6:30 pm - Cité des Arts. Young French-Speaking Artistic Talent (Concours du jeune talent francophone).
Thurs. March 17 - 4:00 pm - Natural History Museum. Planetarium Show in French ($5).
Sat. March 19 - 8:00-11:00 pm - 307 Jazz & Blues, Jefferson St. Franco Dance Night with FMX from Francomix. Precedes Latin Night.
Sun. March 20 - Natural History Museum. Special Event : FrancoFun. Entertainment and good food !
4:00-7:00 pm - Reception with musical and literary entertainment en français. Awarding of the Young French-Speaking Artistic Talent Prize (Prix du jeune talent francophone).
7:00-9:00 pm - International francophone cuisine

Proceeds from this event will help to create a scholarship fund for students in Francophone Studies.
