The 2011 Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival announces its programming: from 16 to 24 June 2011 the French Cultural Center in Vancouver invites the audience to the 22th edition of the summer festival dedicated to Francophone music in the capital of British Columbia (Canada) to promote French culture.
And to make it, the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival gets big names in Francophone music of Canada: Coeur de Pirate and Lynda Lemay.
For its 22nd season, the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival has chosen to pay tribute to the rich diversity of the francophone community through an eclectic line-up of artists. It wanted to offer an explosive musical cocktail and a melting pot of genres. The key ingredient will be Quebec’s legendary rap trio (Les Loco Locass) spiced up with a touch of world music (Blue Morocco), a zest of tango, waltz and chamber music (with the latino american trio José Maria Gianelli and the Absinthe ensemble).
