Francophonic Festival 2007 in Germany Berlin

For the 4th time, the Francophonic Festival brings currents music trends « made in France » to Germany (Berlin, Cologne, Munich).

It presents young talents and well-known stars from France and Belgium. Most artists release their new albums in Germany on the occasion of the festival. From 23rd October until 29th November 2007 one can discover a great variety of music including chanson, rock, electro, world, hip hop. but not only in concert or on the dance floor: for the first time there will also be a French-German poetry-slam-contest with Collectif 129H.

Ayo opened the festival with her beautiful Soul-Folk voice.

The highlight of the festival will be Juliette Gréco - the grande dame of Chanson française - and the Belgian rock star Arno supported by Katel.

Daphné, Babet and Oshen introduce us to the new chanson-pop mixed with African, Latin, rock and folk sounds.

The three Belgian bands Vive la Fete, Malibu Stacy and Hollywood Porn Stars will rock the stage.

Wax Tailor with his new album « Hope & Sorrow » (Trip Hop) and Le Peuple de l’Herbe present a style difficult to define - Drum’n’Bass, Hip Hop, Electro, Ragga, Jungle, Dub, Break-Beat, Funk.

Jeanne Balibar, better known as actor, proves again her talent as a chanson-rock singer together with the band Poni Hoax. Also playing that night: Corinne Duarre and Les Hurlements d`Leo how just return from their tour through Russia.

Nosfell’s acoustic and visual performance is indescribable. Accompanied by Pierre le Bourgeois (bass, violoncello) he sings in is own language and takes us to his dream world Klokochazia.

Who wants to dance to Electro/House with Busy P. (aka Pedro Winter) or dDamage and Léonard de Léonard has the chance to do so in Berlin.
