Balelec Festival 2008 in Switzerland

11 April 2008
The 28th Balelec Festival which attracts every year 13,000 people will take place from May 16th to May 20th, 2008 on the EPFL campus of Lausanne in Switzerland. 27 concerts, artistic shows and meetings with associations are scheduled. The festival location has moved for comfort and security purposes.

Caring as always for the environment, the Balelec Festival stands by the promotion measures developed over the last years. For example the crockery used will be compostable, pocket ashtrays will be free and flyers were printed on recyclable paper. The Balelec Festival was the first Switzerland festival to get the ISO 14001 certification. This is the result of a successful cooperation with the EPFL.

The Balelec Festival encourages festival-goers to use public transports to reach the festival location. If you buy from 7:00 pm a one-way ticket covering the Mobilis areas 11 and 12, you will be refunded and the metro M1 will be in free service all night long from midnight, upon presentation of the festival tickets. Many shuttles will be available towards the Lausanne region and French-speaking Switzerland cities.

Get ready for a diversified programming and lively concerts. International and local artists will blow the seven stages up offering French song, East European music, rock and raggae.
