The International Festival of Rythms of Africa and the Caribbean of Montreal (FESTIRAAM) will take place on 24 and 25 April 2009 at Metropolis in Montreal (Canada). For the 2nd year, FESTIRAAM promotes the music of Africa and the Caribbean: The first evening is devoted to music of the world, second to urban music. Les Frères Diouf will reflect the diversity of African music: dance, zouglou, coupé décalé, bomblo, hip hop, MACOSS, soukous, reggae, zouk ...
In 2008 the International Festival of Rythms of Africa and the Caribbean of Montreal had scheduled Africando, Julien Reiher Umojha, Katenen Dioubaté, Magic System, Black Parents, Gokh-bi System, Alpha Blondy, Geoulah, Deya. Mainly francophone artists.
