Jean-Pierre Bérubé writes his own songs. To this day, he has almost been around the world, and you can feel this in his songs. His guitar playing is rooted in jazz first, but his playing reaches an even wider range of styles. If Mr. Bérubé had to be categorized, one would have to put him with the likes of Jacques Brel. For the last ten years, he has spent his summers in Besançon, France, where he combines his singing talents with his teaching skills. In addition to his concerts, he gives workshops to foreign teachers on how to make second language learning easier, using songs in the classroom. Mr. Bérubé will perform in concert in Dallas, presented by the Alliance Française du Nord du Texas with the support of the Cultural Offices of the French Embassy and the French Consulate. A natural storyteller, he will sing and speak about his dear Québec in a performance that has captivated audiences from France, Africa, Yemen and Turkey. Friday, April 14 7:30 p.m. Where: Latino Cultural Center Ticket $10 general admission Organization : L’Alliance Française du Nord du Texas is the local chapter of a century-old The Alliance Française du Nord du Texas website |
