As part of our « Nouvelle scène » concerts, Le Centre culturel francophone (vancouver - Canada) brings you Saint-Pierre, a funny and sensitive performer. Saint-Pierre owes much to the influence of the great lyricists like Brel, Brassens and Ferré and he draws his inspiration from women... Originally from Quebec, singer, composer songwriter Saint-Pierre has been making music since the nineties. In 2005, he came to Vancouver, where his career took a new direction. In 2006 he won the following awards at the Pacifique en chanson competition: Fan’s Choice award, the Press award, Best Song for his title “Je suis comme toutes les femmes”, along with the Marie Woolridge prize. This success opened the doors for him at the Winnipeg Chant’Ouest competition, where he won the Prix Mercure. Since then, Saint-Pierre has taken a clear turn in the direction of jazz thanks to his association with pianist Geoff Peters and trumpeter Bryan Davies.
